Timothy Scott, PA-C, MPAS

Timothy P. Scott, PA-C, MPAS is a board certified and state licensed physician assistant who is dedicated to advancing orthopedic care, one patient at a time. He is one of the few physician assistants in the country whom currently has met the requirements and has taken and passed a certification examination to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification in Orthopedic surgery.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Timothy served as the Lead Orthopedic Physician Assistant at DMC Sports Medicine for more than five years. He has vast experience in the evaluation and management of various orthopedic and sports related injuries, as well as the pre-operative and post-operative care of surgical patients, and first assisting in various orthopedic and sports medicine surgical procedures of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and foot and ankle. He has taught and mentored many new graduate physician assistants, as well as physician assistant students, and medical students.

Timothy obtained his Master of Science degree in Medicine Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2008, where he graduated in the top five percent of his class. He received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences specializing in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida in 2006, again graduating in the top five percent of his class.

Timothy is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants (MAPA), and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS).
